We have arrived safely back from Phuket after a fantastic holiday!

We wanted to say thank you to you for all your arrangements and give you some feedback.

Firstly, we had no problems at all with any of the arrangements that you made. Once we arrived in Phuket, a lady was waiting for us, welcomed us and handed us over to a driver who drove us to the Sunset Beach hotel - very efficient and friendly. Sonja made contact with us on the phone (via the driver) whilst en route to the hotel and offered to meet us that evening or the next morning. We opted for a morning meeting.

When checking in, the hotel advised us that they had upgraded us to a pool view room at no extra charge. The room was ready and we could take occupation right away. The hotel facilities were more than adequate and entire stay there was great - no hassles whatsoever.

We met with Sonja the next morning. She was very pleasant, friendly and efficient and whilst checking on things generally, also offered various tour/excursion options. We chose 2 - Phi Phi day trip and a day trip to the Similan Islands - both were good value for money and most enjoyable. We opted for the ferry to Phi Phi rather than the speedboat as it was a little cheaper. The operator used a speedboat for the Similan islands. Both trips were well organised and everything went well.

We appreciated that Sonja did not strongly push anything, rather, she offered us options and allowed us to make our decisions. She also offered us any support whilst we were there.

The hotel's scooters were fully booked so we hired one from a small business just around the corner from the local laundry business next to the hotel. The laundry service was effective and cheap - 40bt per kg - wash and fold only though - ironing was extra. The scooter cost 150bt per day for 9 days - a bargain. (Petrol now 40bt a litre.)

We travelled about 350kms on the scooter - as far as Laguna (north) and also spent a day at Surin beach - a very good location. We also rode to Phuket town and the Central Festival shopping centre and sadly only discovered Karon beach late in the trip. Phuket town itself was uninspiring though.

We liked Karon beach as the pace was slower, the shopping areas much less aggressive than Patong and also a little cheaper. Whilst we would most definitely go back to Sunset Beach, Karons pace was most welcome after Patong!

Our local flights with BA also worked out well.

So, thank you for all that you did - we had a great holiday and would happily recommend Gateway and the Sunset Beach hotel.

We returned from Mauritus over this weekend and you did ask me for feedback.

Transfers in Mauritius were fine-no issues.

The Maritim Hotel was great.

The room upgrade was certainly well worth the extra cost - we were accommodated in a 'Prestige' room which was superb 5 star quality-having been recently renovated.

The room was so lovely and comfortable that we spent a lot of time there and on our veranda.

Also there is so much available at Maritim that we never left the resort during our stay- all the water-sports- plus golf etc.

What was also great was that EVERYTHING was included- all our meals- all drinks (beer, wine, cocktails, minerals etc), also served on the beach-all water sports including sailing lessons-water skiing etc.

At the end of the week's stay it was so nice not to have any bill to pay! We travel a lot and have not ever been to a resort or a cruise ship where there is nothing to pay on departure.

The food was good, although not always to our taste. However there was always a wide choice and we could always find to eat at the buffet.vice and staff were also very good and helpful.

Generally good weather - end July- mild days and rather cool at night- better than hot & humid & lots of rain (& cyclones ) in the summer months.

The West coast generally has better weather, (much less rain & wind) than the east coast of the island at that time of year and of course the beautiful sunsets on the West coast.

Mauritius is great for a short holiday as the flight ex Jo'burg is not too long compared to an overnight longhaul destination.

SAA & SAA Voyager were also very good. Getting our flights using Voyager miles was easy and no hassle. Could not fault SAA airport & on-board service. By the way the 12 minute transfer from the airport to Sandton Central on the Gautrain is impressive.

All-in- all an excellent value holiday which you could not get the same in SA for what we paid

Lelani and I are back from our trip! It was amazing!

Everything was just perfect - the hotel was great!! Thank you for recommending the Courtyard, the situation of the hotel was absolute perfect, opposite the O-Top Market, few metres away from the beach!

Even though we had rain every day, we enjoyed every moment. We got drenched, we got sunburned, we had non-stop fun, shopping, hiring scooters, eating, going out on trips, etc...

We want to thank you once again for your patience with us. It is just a pity we couldn't stay for longer.

I must say, the Seaview Pathong was an outstanding hotel - I would really recommend anyone going to Phuket to stay there. We recently did a holiday/business trip to Bali through your company. We have made similar trips many times through most of the top agencies and we wish to state emphatically that this was by far the best ever, largely due to the excellent service and efforts of Giselle Lannas.

Coming from the KZN South Coast, we had reservations about using a company that was not physically represented in the area and in fact tried to get a similar itinerary from two major agencies, based in Durban. We are still waiting for them to come back to us with their proposals, a month after we left on the trip! By contrast, Giselle's communications were prompt and incomparably efficient.

Giselle came up with an itinerary that was significantly different to our previous and therefore favoured ones, getting us on Air Malaysia which, we had not used before and booked into the Bali Dynasty Hotel, which is 4 star against our previous 3 star, but, more to the point, gave us an outstanding experience with great service, exceptional meals and general all round quality. Not unnoticed was the fact that it was also the best value that we have ever had.

Congratulations all round and we shall definitely approach Gateway before any alternative in future, and have recommended our friends to do likewise,
